Meller-James & Associates was established as a Southern Illinois Vet Clinic in 1957, and has been in continuous operation since then, providing excellent veterinary care. Our veterinary staff is trained in all aspects of large and small animal medicine, dentistry, and surgery. Both of our facilities have fully equipped small animal exam rooms and surgical suites, as well as equipment to handle our large animal patients if you should choose to bring them to the clinic. We also maintain four completely equipped mobile veterinary units which allow our doctors to travel to your location if you cannot come to one of the clinics.

Not only do we serve the entire southern tip of Illinois, and serve both large and small animal clients, we provide 24 hour emergency services for all of our established clients. Emergency veterinary care is often time sensitive. The sooner your animal can receive attention, the better the outcome. Meller-James & Associates Veterinary Service takes pride in serving our clients with 24 hour emergency care. Our clients will not be automatically sent to another emergency referral center, which might require a drive of an hour or more. Our Clients have the confidence of knowing that their own Southern Illinois Vet Clinic will be their emergency vet in Southern Illinois.
